BEING OBJECTIVE IN LAW

Its being like the changes in a butterfly for me, from egg to larva, to pupa and then to adult, but this time, not biologically or physiologically as it is with them, but in my OBJECTIVE. it has changed severally due to internal and external influences that constitutes inhibiting factors to what conclusions I have come to. it ranged from thinking on how much luxury I needed for the future to what I am drawn to, and you know, in between both, they had changed further.


Being Objective is being narrowly confined to a particular point of focus, it is being decisive, unwavering, purposeful which always comes with reasons like goals, dreams, aspirations, interests and what have you. In the field of law, there are several branches like:
           Criminal laws
           Family and Juvenile laws
           Health Laws
           Corporate Laws (Business laws)
           Education Laws
           Employment and Labour laws
           Intellectual Property laws
           Property Laws
           Cyber laws
           Maritime laws (Admiralty laws)
           Oil and gas laws
           Immigration laws
           International Laws
           Real Estate laws
           Sports and Entertainment laws
           Tax laws
           Banking laws
           Insurance laws
           Civil rights law
           Environmental law
           Immigration laws
           Military laws
           Alternative Dispute Resolutions
           Aviation Laws
           Contracts and partnerships
           
and still counting...seeing these wide range of multiple choices provided, being objective comes into the picture.  A whole lot of people differ in their objectives from time to time and mine had been due to these reasons:
        a. Priorities have changed
        b. Social Influence
        c. Discussions with peer group 
        d. Fear of uncertainty
        e. Do not want to be left out in the fast advancing new look of this global age
        f. Pressure.
there are so many reasons why people change their objectives in the subject matter of law, but what matters the most is KNOWING WHAT YOU WANT AND RUNNING JUST RIGHT INTO IT. 

The fields of law is quite huge for a person to go into all of it at a particular time, it is a possibility but it takes time and effort which must be followed systematically. Being objective involves (a) Checking your abilities (b) Checking your drive into the field of law and (C) Checking your desired placement. Whatever the reasons are for the change of objective should not be void of the three above mentioned ingredients and once you have come to a perfect standing of this, BE STRICTLY CONFINED TO IT. Letting yourself change objective at every slightest wink depicts incompetence and lack of stability even in practise. A person can be objective with 2,3 or more fields but being an expert in them demands OBJECTIVITY.

Let the chosen fields reflect why you chose the law profession. A person who had come into the law profession because of a number of property defraud incidents that he has witnessed and decides to go that field cannot because his friends was talking about how profiting maritime law can be, change for it. I suggest that combinations can be made other than leaving out property laws totally. He can preferably combine property laws and Maritime laws to make his objective if he wants both money and passion. The reason is because the incidents which brought you to the field is your passion which no matter how much you run from it, when every other thing lies low, it will give you satisfaction that you are in what you have always wanted. It keeps you going.

Hold unto it and make it BIG!

A lil on Passion lol

Some 15 years back, at any time I watch the big screen, I thought of what on earth I could possibly be, I hated the slightest hearing of primary education, not to talk of all that it is about. I loved to learn informally, though formal in a way. Not in a classroom, any where else.... Nature for sure took its course, and I had to grow up, finding the interest to study law and to bear its risks.  For me, the subject of law is a risk which anyone who undertakes it should be prepared to face its outcome with head held very high.
